Asbestos removal

DISC Environmental has the necessary know-how in respect of asbestos removal techniques.

This is elaborated upon below:

Project preparation

The basis for every asbestos removal project is an asbestos inventory report to BRL 5052.

Plan of Execution

The basis, all conditions and agreements are established by DISC in consultation with the Customer. An outline design is prepared for the removal of asbestos containing materials. The phasing of the activities, the working hours and the logistics are in particular relevant for these activities. Furthermore specific removal techniques can be indicated. If considered necessary, the authorities will be consulted in the event separate approvals or exemptions need to be obtained.

A detailed Plan of Execution will be prepared and submitted for approval to Customer after completion of these investigations. Tenders will be invited upon endorsement.

Supervision of the activities

The project will have to be executed as soon as the project has been awarded to a qualified asbestos removal contractor and/or demolition contractor.

Publicity and communication

DISC B.V. can assist with the publicity and communications to third party persons like local residents, occupants, authorities, press and other stakeholders.

Supervision

DISC B.V. can assist with the daily supervision of the asbestos removal activities and/or demolition. Professional supervisors are employed on a part-time or full-time basis for this purpose. The supervisor prepares a daily progress report for the Customer and discusses the activities with the interested parties.
