Fire Protection (active and passive)

Preparing a Technical Specification
The Building Regulations Code of the National Centre for Prevention (NCP) in The Netherlands incorporates the regulation for fire alarm systems since 1 November 2002. The Building Regulations Code has been adapted to the Building Act 2nd phase which has come into force per 1st January 2003. All fire alarm systems and evacuation equipment present in a building have to be designed and installed in accordance with a Technical Specification (TS).
All requirements that are applicable to the installation must be laid down in this TS prior to the start of the activities. The experts of DISC FireProtection BV can assist you with the preparation of this TS. All parties involved like architects, consulting engineers, contractors, fire brigade departments and users can be assured of a professional basis for the quality assurance for the fire alarm system and evacuation equipment.
The TS will unambiguously detail the requirements for the fire alarm system and evacuation equipment. The TS will include subjects like:
- The Regulations;
- The data of the parties involved;
- The purpose of the object;
- The design data and the scope of supply of the installation;
- Alarm and evacuation requirements;
- Required duty;
- Possible additional requirements;
- Approval of the parties involved.
